Did Saddam used poison gas on the Kurds in 1988 which mostly given by the US?

is that true or no? if so give me any reliable sources/links instead of propaganda source please. I mean other countries gave chemical weapons i know that. I asking here is that was majority of chemical weapons used against the Kurds was mostly US material? please correct me if i'm wrong. Plus links would be more helpful too.
