GUYS! WHAT DO THESE MIXED SIGNALS MEAN?

I asked this guy i like to the sadie hawkens dance via scavenger hunt. he was too stupid to figure it out, made fun of my little rhymes, and then told the whole school that he couldn't go anyway, he was busy. as i am mortified, i tell my friend to just say it's me to get it over with. she tells him, he gets really excited and says he's sad he can't go. the last note told him to meet me right after school. he never showed up. my friend texted him and he said he came but we weren't there and he had to go. he said he'd text me later, but he hasn't. i'm getting really mixed signals here.
