What can I do to keep fleas off of my daughter?

Someone once told me to give my dogs some garlic powder in their food daily. Fleas dont like garlic. I dont know why this works but it does. I add some ( eyeball it) to the wet food and the dogs love it. I does work .I start doing this right before "flea" season. It works for the dogs. I dont know if your infestation is too bad it may or may not help. Good Luck.
