Question for International people about US elections?

It worries me to think what will happen if trigger-happy Palin and volatile McCain are elected. Especially as I'm Canadian and it's not all happening too far from home.. if the Americans choose McCain, I will find it mindboggling. So many strange accusations are being made on here about Obama, I've seen that hypnosis thing too! wtf?
