What protection spray should I use for my Ugg boots?

I just today purchased a pair of sundance tall uggs, in sand. I had been looking for them for a while so I really don't want to take any chances. My parents said they were just going to use some leather/suede cleaner but I'm not so sure...what did you use/how did it work? More importantly, what should I use? Thank you and in case you didn't know they're the ones with the outlining white fur so I need to be pretty careful...
